I accidentally washed my husbands new dress shirts with a tube of lipstick. how can i get this off?

I just googled it %26amp; several sites suggest the following:





Take a cotton swap and gently dab rubbing alocohol to it.


Then, take some dish detergent (like Dawn) %26amp; lightly dab that on the stain as well. Remember to dab both of these, not rub, or you will make the stain worse.


Next, toss it back in the washer with your normal laundry detergent %26amp; a squirt of the dish soap (not too much, just a drop)

whatever you do dont put it inthe dryer - puting items in dryers sets whatever stain didnt come out inthe wash - take it to a drycleaners, they have all types of chemicals to remove various stains
wash it again with a tube of white out

I have had luck getting lipstick out with Simple Green, It is a biodegradable cleaner but works wonders. I've done that too, once to one of my own sweaters! If you have not dried it, treating it with Shout! might do the trick also.
