How do you get your lipstick to stay on longer than an hour?

when lining your lips, also use the liner to lightly color your lips then apply you lipstick/ and or gloss. this should help it to stay on much longer. i have done this for years and it works.How do you get your lipstick to stay on longer than an hour?

MaxFactor Lipfinity? I find such 'staying' lipsticks quite drying on the lips though.
Try to apply it in layers....atleast two to three layers...avoid drinking water or any other movement that will dissolve your lipstick..
Maybelline and Max factor have these lip sticks that last very long. Although the Maybelline ones might make your lip feel a little dry so you can just apply it and then apply another lip stick on it. Doesn't matter what you do that day, your lip stick will last very very long.

Just keep reapplying it.
first put a very very light layer of powder then put the lipstick on taking care to keep to the shape of the lips blot it then reapply the lipstick and add lip gloss. don't drink hot drinks during that time.

Pat very lightly a little foundation, or even a little concealer. I use lip liner very close to my lipstick. Don't use a lip pencil that is too much of a contrast. It should look natural. I find gloss comes off very quickly.

you can probably apply the stay- on lipsticks that are available. also if yoy want them to stay on longer than an hour avoid eating or drinking.
Get revlon color stay lipstick.
there's a lipstick by maybelline that really stays there practically for half a day even if you eat. it is quite dry itself and it comes together with a lip balm which is the only thing you must re-apply now and again, because the foundation color really stays on...but i feel like it it too strong, i prefer soft lipsticks myself, full with vitamins and oils, even if they don't hold...but for a special event try these out...if you really want to know the brand, e-mail me... cause I have it at home...
you can try a lipstick which stays for long lik revlon...or else u can apply a lip pencil of the same shade off ur lipstick all over ur lips and then apply ur lipstick and ttop it all wit a good gloss... but please dont overdo it ur lips may look to large ... blieve me it works

The best technique that I've used is apply your lip liner and then your lipstick, blot it and re-apply your lipstick this really does help to keep it on for longer.
Put some powder on colored lips. It should stay longer then. Try not to rub or lick your lips, especially after eating or drinking.
put foundation your lips first then apply lipstick and blot or try lipcote it goes on over your lipstick and keeps it on all day xxxxxxxxxxxx
avon has a lipstick called lipink.it really does work cost about 6.00. Revelon has one called ColorStay.that works just as well for the same price.Both last about 6-8 hours no matter what you do, eat or drink
